Scheduled Waitlist Auto-Cancellation
February 10, 2025
When creating/updating an event or program, you can now specify if and when the waitlist should be automatically cancelled. If there are users on the waitlist at the time it is set to be automatically cancelled, the users will all be removed from the waitlist. If there are spots available, then all users on the waitlist will be notified that there are spots available for them.
This feature helps prevent scenarios where large waitlists slow down the process of filling multiple open spots, as currently only one user is notified at once for multiple open spots.
After a user joins the waitlist, they'll be able to see when the waitlist is scheduled to be automatically cancelled, so expect a rush of registrations right after it gets cancelled!
We suggest setting the waitlist to be automatically cancelled 24, 48, or 72 hours before an event starts, so that users are likely to be awake when it is cancelled.
