MedStar Capitals Iceplex - practice arena of the NHL’s Washington Capitals and home to hundreds of programming options for adults and children - needed a solution that would allow them to sell drop-in spots online and allow attendees to easily change their RSVP. Now with OpenSports, parents can register their kids online, and MedStar knows exactly who has paid and who is in their facility at all times.

MedStar relies on a handful of event admins who post daily events and can easily communicate with customers on the fly through the web or app. Handling the full gamut of programming including freestyle skating, public skating, drop in, stick n puck, classes, lessons, and even skate sharpening has become a breeze for MedStar admins who can rest assured that the attendees list automatically manages itself through the automatic waitlist and refund deadlines. Since the waitlist does all of the cumbersome work for them, admins never have to message players when a spot opens, or worry about last minute drop outs.
